FINDINGS IN THE TRAINING OF TEACHERS FOR THE TEACHING OF MATHEMATICS FROM THE DIDACTIC SUITABILITY. EXPERIENCE IN FIVE EDUCATIONAL REGIONS OF PANAMÁ

This article presents partial results of the diploma "Pedagogical strategies for the teaching of Mathematics". The objective of the study is to provide a solid professional training, which allows to teach mathematical contents in a suitable way, considering the context in which the teacher works. In this context, values pedagogy and mathematics are essential in preschool and primary school students specifically, since the teacher is expected to promote the perception of creativity as a value. To this end, a virtual diploma course was carried out for 150 teachers with different profiles according to their employment situation and their age. The results show that the didactic suitability allowed the professors to transfer the mathematical knowledge the teachers carried out in the classroom through the exercises, not only were the knowledge and contents, but a strong affective component and commitment, which is what allows transforming the educational practice.
