THE NOTARY PUBLIC IN MEXICO AND ITS CHALLENGES IN THE 21ST CENTURY

In this article, a descriptive analysis of the role of the notary public in Mexico and its challenges in the 21st century is carried out, where, based on its principles and characteristics, the change processes that contribute to improvements in its functions are identified by efficiently performing the service to the public and integrating at the forefront simple notarial processes that involve fewer processes in paperwork and services. For this, it is important to address the projection of the application and creation of the electronic protocol and electronic signature system and its possible reforms in terms of the Notary Law, as well as the creation of the figure of cyber notary in Mexico in commercial activities to international level. Finally, some of the contemporary challenges of the Notary Public regarding the Federal Law for the prevention and identification of operations with resources of illicit origin are exposed, as well as their challenges in Mexican society.
