Abstract

Workers' health problems do not arise only in factories, they can be generated in any space in which work activities are carried out, where the conditions to carry them out are not safe, so government workers are not exempt from them; Considering this, thefollowing study aims to present a reference framework thatwillserve assupport for the subsequent evaluation of the incidencesof occupational health and safety management (OHS) in the public sector, in the specific case of Ecuador. The research is descriptive with a documentary design. As a highlight, it is marked that the management of health and safety at work is necessary because the prevention of occupational diseases will allow individuals to develop their skills without sacrificing their health, so organizations must have tools to study working conditions to establish what risks are associated with work activities for the purpose, that workers with their participation and leadership in conjunction with the managers of the organizations where they provide their services, look for ways to reduce the impact of these so much in the people as in the economy of the companies.
