ADOLESCENTS AND CLICKS ON SOCIAL NETWORKS: IMPACTS ON INTERPERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS IN CONTEMPORARY

Abstract

Contemporaneity has directly changed the context in the global context (economic, social and
cultural), which directly influenced the individuals themselves with the social and with themselves.
This research aimed to identify the new meanings that adolescents have attributed to the use of social
networks in the contemporary context. A semi-interview was used, which was transcribed and used
for content analysis. It was concluded that adolescents are influenced by the media and social
networks, and have difficulties to critically reflect on the use of these resources. It was also seen that,
during the pandemic context, digital resources acted as a refuge, interfering with their mental health.
