Abstract
Alejandro Finisterre, poet, theater critic, editor and inventor. He was a republican, excellent editor,
poet (although he claimed that he only wrote verses) and inventor, he is said to have registered more
than fifty patents. He founded Editorial Ecuador and Finisterre, was the launch pad for the works
published by many of the Mexican and Spanish writers in exile such as Andrés Henestrosa, Octavio
Paz, Griselda Álvarez, Max Aub, Juan Larrea, Ernesto Cardenal and León Felipe. De León Felipe,
The clay poet, as he defined himself, the eternal walker, makes a stop on his journey to answer us.
Finisterre was the executor of his literary work and thanks to him today we have most of his published
poetry.
