Abstract

In order to reflect on the reason for the weakening suffered by the Social and Human Sciences, in
this article we will address the relationship between education and the labor market to answer the
main question. Thus, the issue of education will be approached from sociology and the new horizons
of the educational system will be briefly discussed. In recent years, educational reforms have focused
less on the training of individuals with social conscience and artistic sensitivity and, on the contrary,
have increasingly focused on meeting the needs of the economic system. In this way, in the 21st
century, the various academic profiles that adapt to the job demand are promoted and encouraged,
which have focused mainly on the technical and practical, thereby achieving to a great extent demerit
the studies that rest in the world of the ideas.
