ROLE OF THE THESIS TUTOR IN THE CURRENT UNIVERSITY
Abstract
Currently, the educational community, as society evolves at a dizzying pace, the process of
transformation to the teaching-learning models at each of its levels is mandatory. One of these
changes is aimed at the role of the tutor integrated into the educational teaching process as a whole,
conceptualizing the thesis as a product of research. But it, in its conceptual and procedural form, must
have sufficient flexibility for integrating this process in a holistic way and at the same time bringing
together all the factors that affect the graduate, if one takes into account that the current university
rests on the three mainstays: teaching-research-professional practice. Accordingly, the objective of
this article is aimed at making a sufficiently updated analysis of something not completely resolved
regarding the changes we have mentioned. The work took as a practical reference, the application of
a survey directed to graduates or tutors from six public and private universities in Lima, which yielded
interesting results that, reinforced by advanced theoretical concepts, give it great practical value,
although without trying to offer formulas or provide definitive answers to these complex changing
processes that compromise the tutor and the tutor.
