RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SPORTS AND BODY IMAGE OF THE STUDENTS IN GRADES OF EDUCATION AND THE PERCEPTION OF THE FACTOR WICH DETERMINES FOOD BEHAVIOR
Abstract
The objective of this study was to determine if the hours of sport practice and the body image of the students in Grades of
Education correlates with the perception of the factors which determines their food behavior. Material and method: The sample
has been of N=70 students from a Spanish University. Measuring instruments had been the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ)
and the Evaluation of Dietary Preferences and Behavior Intentions food (TEPICA) in online-test and personal dates (gender,
age, specialty coursing and hours of weekly sports). The results indicate that the hours of sport practice improve the selfcontrol about the sweeties consumption; it also has been checked that a good body image influence them for keep under
control and don´t associate eat more with the sadness, don´t eat food when they see other people eating, or simply keep them
under control and they don´t eat in the presence of food although they have easy access to them.
