CULTURAL RICHNESS AND SPECIES OF AMERICA THROUGH ITS NATIONAL EMBLEMS
Abstract
The American continent is the second largest of the planet Earth mass and it focuses the 12% of the world
population consisting of native and people come from different places, situation that the passage of time has
led to the flowering of different cultural expressions. Spirit recognize and disseminate the eigenvalues in
search of recognition of the international community, each of the Nations have used a symbol that formulate or
display these principles or values patriotic and therefore have been used a myriad of flags, shields or to
national anthems, but yet also are frequently handled: national animal, national flower, the national color and
also the coat of arms of the country or the reigning dynasty in the case of countries with monarchical systems.
Birds, like national emblem, comply with a double function: representing a nation and at the same time contain
a symbolic message of national cohesion. Its importance is assessed with the registration of a national bird in
36 countries belonging to the American continent. Establishes that one species in particular, and not another,
is playing to unique figurative feature which cannot be replaced by different bird in the allegorical performance
referred to in his presence.
