HERE, WHERE OTHERS PLANDERED WEALTH, WE SOWED CULTURE
Abstract
In this essay we have undertaken an evaluation of the space that would integrate the Mining District
Tlalpujahua and El Oro in the central region of Mexico, with a long-term perspective -XVI to XXI centuries -.
The purpose of this paper is to appreciate the changes and transformations of the mentioned space and
recover from the concept of equity, social relations and cultural traces of the first groups involved in the
exploitation of the mineral resources and then cultural reuse. Circulation of knowledge about the natural and
social environment is weighted, technological innovations that occurred over time and the current ownership
holding their current residents to establish new social relationships based in providing solidarity and culture
processes of collective identity.
