THE GENUINE OF CREATION PROCESSES FOR CARE AND THEIR PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION AS PART OF A SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY
Abstract
This research starts from the base and belief in artistic action as a useful strategy and resource in the
integral assistance of people. In the first place, the principle of artistic creation is located from a
phylogenic perspective to analyze the first artistic gestures, those that have accompanied the human
being in his development as a species. Second, it covers the relationship between art and health and
how both disciplines have given rise to a specific type of therapy; art therapy. In that sense we ask
ourselves; What role do artistic practices assume today in the face of people's suffering? This is
where art and creation are presented as possible solutions, in their role of social support. Thanks to
all the research carried out that is capable of creating coherence between care, art, clinic and / or
social development, the need to include creative processes as part of a holistic clinical care is
exposed. Finally, the real case of the Affoltern Hospital (Switzerland) is briefly shown, which includes
artistic therapies together with philosophy, as a combined form of intervention for the patient.
