EMPLOYER OF LAST RESORT POLICY AND CARE FOR EFFECTIVE VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION THROUGH ARTISTIC CREATION
Abstract
The Green New Deal is a development strategy that, providing and mobilizing mechanisms and
resources to fight climate change, simultaneously can also be directed towards the achievement of
other social objectives. The objective of this article is to present a real job alternative for patients with
chronic renal disease; however, this mechanism can be extended to other vulnerable groups that are
systematically excluded from the labor market. The relationship between chronic renal disease and
the emergence or drag of socioeconomic problems that lead to various mental disorders is known in
the literature. Focusing on the work expectations of the chronic kidney patient, we expose how the
Employer of Last Resort Policy or Job Guarantee and a comprehensive approach to care through the
arts that accompanies the patient emotionally in their new life, can operate as functional tools for an
effective vocational rehabilitation.
