TRAINING OF THE TEACHERS OF THE FACULTY OF DESIGN ARCHITECTURE AND ARTS OF THE TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY OF AMBATO IN TRANSVERSAL AXES - ECUADOR
Abstract
The present work reveals the diverse experiences of teacher training of the Faculty of Architecture
and Design (FDA) of the Technical University of Ambato and other academic units, in transversal
axes; identifying specific training needs in each of the four domains of the management model, the
methodology applied was the identification of training needs based on the results of the integral
evaluation process incorporated in the institution, as well as, with the application of instruments that
allowed to collect the criteria of 24 university managers and 803 professors, it is in that sense that,
the Intersemestral Courses were directed exclusively for the professors of the institution. The present
investigation shows the results obtained in the month of September of the year 2017, in which 726
teachers were trained corresponding to 89%, it is important to mention that 41 participants correspond
to the FDA.Among the main results obtained were the 40% increase in scientific production, creation
of 3 multidisciplinary working groups, strengthening the transmission of successful experiences in the
management of training strategies in teacher performance, evaluation and learning system,
standardization of elements in the creation of books, incorporation of innovative strategies,
educational coaching, application of computer tools (educational platforms) and statistics for decision
making.
