BETWEEN NECROPOLITICS AND DIRECTIONS TO VIVIVEIS LIVES: ETHICS AND CRITICAL THEORY AS INSTRUMENTS
Abstract
Using literary writing as both resource and source, this article outlines questions about gender and
power, in essay style and based on critical theory approaches. Within a paradoxical context,
conceiving and producing expressions that emphasize the necessary construction of solidaritie s and
co mmon struggles against patriarchy, colonialism, and capitalism, both classical and contemporary
corpora bring forth material and historical - written - sources to understand the ontologies of power
and the category of gender. The methodology designed for the article is both historical and critical,
based on literary documents portraying forms of transgression and critical points of view. The
convergence with feminist epistemologies and contemporary historiographical productions has
allowed for a historical description but have, first and foremost, provided the theoretical framework to
found an ethical, inclusive, and just approach.
