CULTURAL DIVERSITY OF ITS IMMIGRANT STUDENTS AND THE POLITICAL CHALLENGE OF IMPLEMENTING IT IN THE CHILEAN MUNICIPAL SCHOOL

This article describes the integration of cultural diversity about the inmigrant students in two municipal schools. In the Independence and Santiago community. In Santiago city of chili. The objective was understand the meaning of the lecture and representation that set the participating actors conferred to the educational practice about the integration of cultural diversity in the daily life of the contemplated school institution. The research line is qualitative, descriptive and interpretive. Therefore, an analysis is made from the culture of the actors to be investigated. A character case of study collective and multiple with the object of understanding the phenomenon to deepen their proximity, remoteness, similarities and discrepancies the researches phenomenon of interest. The in- depth interview was used to collect the information. Results: the finding reflect that the application of the official curriculum, is opposed to the acceptance of diversity cultural of the immigrant students. Aims at the normalization of the receiving culture. Conclusion: These two educational communities have been configured in complex and differentiated cultural fields. For this reason, the plurality of students presents a scenario in which all the actors must build an educational model that allows a generating community that includes all the cultural groups in the curriculum and all the extraprogramatic activities in every life.
