The importance that the pictorial art is taking, in these last years in the region of the Campo de Gibraltar, by the almost duplication of discoveries, of rocky enclaves. Since the beginning of the last century, H. Breuil, documented almost sixty enclaves with rock art. In the last few decades, almost a total of two hundred more enclaves have been recorded. Not only has post-Paleolithic art been documented, but the discovery of Palaeolithic graffiti, of the "airbrushed hands in negative" type, has placed the whole area in the forefront of international interest.
