TEACHING RESOURCES IN THE BRAILLE SYSTEM FOR THE EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION OF STUDENTS WITH VISUAL DISABILITIES

In this article, it is proposed to describe the process of educational inclusion of students with visual disabilities through didactic resources in Braille system in the Natural Sciences subject of the Mariano Aguilera Educational Unit, school year 2019-2020. The research problem is based on the need to address the diversity of students with visual disabilities. The methodology considers the mixed approach to collect and analyze qualitative and quantitative data, in addition, a sequential explanatory design was applied that is composed of two stages; In the first stage, with the pretest and posttest, quantitative data is collected, in the second stage, with participatory observation and the in-depth interview, a qualitative data survey is carried out to contrast the results. The study sample is non-probabilistic and consisted of teachers, students with visual impairment from the middle sub-level of Basic General Education and specialized professionals. The results obtained determined that the use of didactic materials in the subject of Natural Sciences favors the incorporation of students with visual disabilities in the classrooms, also significantly improves their knowledge, developing integrally in a space for coexistence and cooperative and collaborative learning.
