Abstract

The purpose of this article is to describe the current situation and importance of illustration in Ecuador's literary production aimed at children and young people; as well as determining what is the role of the artistic activity of illustration in this type of literature. The article seeks to become an element of consultation, analysis and discussion for the professional and artistic activities of the various actors in the editorial process, particularly graphic designers and illustrators.
